Insurance FAQs

How much will I have to pay?

  • The amount that you have to pay depends on your specific insurance plan.  The best way to determine this is to call the number on the back of your card and inquire with a representative from your insurance company.  Feel free to contact our office with any questions.
  • Keep in mind some plans require you to meet your deductible first before they will cover any portion of your expenses.  Some plans have a visits limitation for physical therapy for the year.

Common Terms:

  • Deductible: The initial amount you have to pay before your insurance will start to cover part of your expenses.
  • Co-insurance:  After your deductible is met, you will be responsible for a percentage of the cost per visit.  We will collect an approximate amount up front and then send a bill for the rest after the insurance company has let us know how much they will pay.
  • Co-pay: A set amount you pay each visit, no matter what is billed.  Some insurance companies have a maximum amount they will pay so you may be responsible for the rest as well.
